Greenville, Sinoe County, Liberia – The Revolutionary National Youth League of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), Sinoe Chapter, has strongly condemned recent statements made by Sinoe County Senator Crayton Oldman Duncan. Senator Duncan allegedly claimed that the CDC “failed the Liberian people.”
The youth league characterized these remarks as both hypocritical and divisive, emphasizing that Senator Duncan has greatly benefited from the party’s initiatives. They underscored the accomplishments of the CDC, which include the construction and rehabilitation of essential road networks, investments aimed at enhancing access to quality education and vocational training, efforts to stabilize the national economy and attract foreign direct investment, and the maintenance of a stable environment conducive to national growth and the well-being of citizens.
The CDC Sinoe Chapter urged Senator Duncan to prioritize constructive engagement over divisive rhetoric and called on Liberians to recognize his actions as opportunistic.
Crayton Oldman Duncan is noted for being in the news for the wrong reasons. In 2017, he was accused of betraying former Central Bank of Liberia Governor Dr. Mills Jones and allegedly embezzling millions of dollars from the Central Bank’s loan scheme. Additionally, Senator Duncan has faced accusations from former Sinoe County Senator J. Milton Teahjay of submitting falsified academic credentials, which he allegedly used to secure positions at the Central Bank and as a lecturer at United Methodist University.
