WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Congress for Democratic Change USA Chapter (CDC USA) convened a strategic planning session on Friday, December 5th, 2025, with the party’s Political Leader, His Excellency Ambassador George Manneh Weah. The meeting, held in the District of Columbia, served as a substantive forum to align on shared objectives and strategic future initiatives.

The CDC USA delegation was led by National Chairman Yahaya Talata Sheriff and included key executive officers: Vice Chairperson for Operations, Vera Davies Okyne; Secretary General, Abraham Manobah; and Treasurer, Comfort Mamie Taye. This consultation represents a significant step in harmonizing the diaspora chapter’s efforts with the party’s central vision and leadership.

Discussions were focused on developing a forward-looking strategy for CDC USA, with an emphasis on organizational development, grassroots mobilization within the Liberian diaspora community, and the reinforcement of the party’s core principles. Chairman Sheriff characterized the engagement as both strategic and essential. “Receiving direct guidance from our Standard Bearer has provided invaluable clarity and inspiration,” he stated. “His Excellency’s vision and dedication continue to serve as a guiding framework for our work in the diaspora.”

The delegation reported productive talks on concrete measures to enhance the chapter’s operational structure, expand its outreach, and effectively channel diaspora support toward national development and party solidarity. Ambassador Weah expressed his full confidence in the CDC USA leadership, encouraging unity, steadfastness, and proactive engagement in service to the party’s ideals and the broader Liberian community. He commended their dedication and underscored the importance of strengthening ties between the homeland and the diaspora.

Executive officers departed the meeting with a reinforced commitment to their mission. Secretary General Abraham Manobah noted, “The strategic counsel received has strengthened our resolve to act as a dynamic and effective pillar of the CDC, working to advance the aspirations of the Liberian people.” This meeting marks a new phase of coordinated action for CDC USA, as it endeavors to amplify its role under the direct guidance of its political leader.
